Alissa Pili led the Utes with 21 points and nine rebounds to just miss out on a double-double. Jenna Johnson, however, was able to earn a double-double with 16 points and team leading 10 rebounds.

The Delta Devils have not had an ideal start to the season with a record of 1-5. The team is currently on a two-game losing streak after dropping games to Lamar and, most recently, Nicholls. Zaria Harleaux recorded a season-high 17 points and Krisen Hunt was right behind with a career-best 16 points. Despite the strong performances, the team was unable to ever gain momentum and lost its fifth game of the season.
