Seattle has taken three of five from the Yankees heading into the final regular-season meeting between the clubs on Wednesday afternoon at T-Mobile Park. New York is scuffling a bit, losing six of its last seven, but holds a 10-and-a-half game lead over Toronto in the AL East. The Mariners are a game behind the Blue Jays for the first wild-card position.

On Tuesday, the Yankees and Mariners traded zeroes through 12 innings. The M's walked it off in the 13th when Luis Torrens singled home designated runner Eugenio Suárez with the bases loaded.

Seattle will start left-hander Robbie Ray on Wednesday. Last season's AL Cy Young winner with Toronto is 8-8 with a 3.96 ERA and 1.188 WHIP in 22 starts and 129-and-two-third innings, fanning 149. He got no decision on Friday in a loss to the Angels despite allowing just one run and striking out 10 in seven innings.

The Yankees are also going to a lefty, All-Star Nestor Cortes. In 20 starts, Cortes is 9-3 with a 2.57 ERA and 1.018 WHIP in 112 innings with 115 punchouts. He got no decision on Friday in a loss at St. Louis after allowing just one hit but walking four in five-and-one-third innings, getting charged with two runs.
