Asia-Pacific has used good pitching and just enough offense to win its first two games. It shut out Canada 1-0 in its first game and then knocked off Europe-Africa in its second game. It hasn't been a dominating first two games, but it has found a way to win both and stay unbeaten.
The Mid-Atlantic is in much of the same boat as it beat the Central 3-1 in its first game and then beat New England 2-1 in its second game. It has also got great pitching to help it advance.
Friday's game has all the makings of a pitcher's duel and should be a great one with the winner taking one step closer to making the championship game.
