NBA ChampionsFor the second time in five seasons the Spurs celebrated a title, this time with a Game 6 victory at the SBC Center over the New Jersey Nets. After averaging 24.2 points, 17.0 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 5.3 blocks, Tim Duncan embraced losing coach Byron Scott, then grabbed his second Finals MVP trophy. Six months later Duncan and teammate David Robinson would be named SI's Sportsmen of the Year.
