Lamonte Thomas

Thomas, a junior guard at Johnson & Wales who through Sunday led all NCAA divisions in scoring with 30.4 points per game, had a game high 33 points and was named MVP in defeating St. Joseph's of Maine 76--66 for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference title. Earlier this year, he became the Wildcats' alltime scoring leader and was named conference player of the year.
Maureen Bulgrin
MUNROE FALLS, OHIO > Indoor Track and Field
Bulgrin, a senior at the University of Dayton, won the 5,000 meters (16:52.44) and 3,000 meters (9:42.87, a conference record) and anchored the winning distance medley relay team at the Atlantic 10 championships to earn most outstanding track performer honors and lead the Flyers women to their second straight A-10 title, edging Charlotte 161--159.
T.J. Duncan
CHATTANOOGA > Wrestling
T.J., a senior at the McCallie School, won the state Division II championship at 160 pounds with a 15--6 major decision over the Baylor School's Spencer Craig. T.J. is the first wrestler in Tennessee history to win five state titles and the ninth five-time state wrestling champion in the nation. Next year he will wrestle on a scholarship at the University of Maryland.
