PETER KING'S THINGS I THINK

1. I think now we'll see what the Texans are made of. They threw away a game against the Raiders last week; lost their most valuable defensive player, pass rusher Mario Williams, for the season with a torn pectoral muscle; and will be without wideout Andre Johnson (right hamstring injury) for another two to four games. In other words, not the ideal time for 3--2 Houston to go on the road against the powerful Ravens and upstart Titans.

In other words, not the ideal time for 3--2 Houston to go on the road against the powerful Ravens and upstart Titans.

2. I think there would be worse things for the Rams or the Panthers than to finish with an awful record and earn the first pick in the draft. Because both teams already have a long-term QB, they could trade the lucrative No. 1 choice—likely Stanford's Andrew Luck. I wouldn't take anything less than three first-rounders.

3. I think you never thought you'd be saying this: When San Francisco and Detroit meet on Sunday at Ford Field, they will have the best combined record of any matchup in Week 6. The 49ers. The Lions. The Suddenly Competent Bowl!
