Sweet Kicks, Man
A preseason All-America explains how he knocked off the baby fat
Since arriving in Columbus last fall, Ohio State forward Jared Sullinger has shed more than 25 pounds, a feat he attributes in part to a steady diet of kickboxing. Try this simple threesome of kicks—in sets of 10 with each foot—to stay on pace with the Buckeyes sophomore.
1. STRAIGHT-AHEAD
Standing with your toes facing a heavy bag, strike and extend with the flat sole of your foot.
2. ROUNDABOUT
Step your plant foot to one side and swing your other leg around, striking with the top of that foot.
3. SIDE KICK
With a shoulder toward the bag, kick out with your sole, extending leg parallel to the ground.
