SUMMER GREEN

MILFORD, MICH. > SOCCER

Summer, a junior forward at Brighton High, scored 12 goals in five games to lead the U.S. Under-17 women's team to the CONCACAF title in Guatemala City. With the championship, the U.S. earned a berth in the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup this fall in Azerbaijan. Summer's 12 goals were the most scored in World Cup qualifying tournament history by a U.S. player at any age level.

DOM KONE

BUCKSPORT, MAINE > TRACK AND FIELD

Kone, a junior at Colby College, won the 100 meters at the Division III championships for his second national title; his time of 10.24 tied the third fastest in D-III history. He ran the top time in the 55-meter dash (6.51) during the 2011 indoor season in the national prelims but pulled his right hamstring in the final. In March, Kone came back to take that indoor dash title with a 6.75 in the 60 (changed from 55 this year).

MARIE KELLEHER

GLEN ALLEN, VA. > SWIMMING

Kelleher, a 99-year-old great-grandmother of 20 who works part-time for her family's heating and cooling business, set national and world age group records in the 50-meter freestyle (1:44.10) and the 100 (3:40.00) at the Virginia Senior Games, where she became the first American woman to compete in the 100--104 age group. The owner of 11 masters titles, Kelleher turns 100 before the Dec. 31 cutoff.
