The 5' 9" 176-pounder ran back a 37-yard interception for a TD against Minnesota, one of his team-high three picks. Allen also had a career-best 81 stops and this spring emerged as a leader in the secondary.

A long jumper is primed for a big leap

The Boilermakers were starting to get glimpses of Bush's playmaking ability last fall, particularly in the final seven games when he had 260 of his 310 receiving yards. On the season he scored three touchdowns. The 6-foot 175-pounder was a state finalist in the long jump at Miami's Christopher Columbus High. "He's an outstanding athlete," says Danny Hope.
