INDELIBLE MOMENT The very first! Grange created his legend as the Galloping Ghost on the opening kickoff of the stadium's opening game, going 95 yards for a score and following it with touchdown runs of 67, 56 and 44 yards, all in the first quarter.

COLLEGE KNOWLEDGE Before the construction of the indoor practice facility, Illinois would inflate The Bubble, an air-tight vacuum dome that covered the field at Memorial Stadium, for practice during the winter.
