Aaron, a senior center midfielder at Northern Michigan Christian Academy, had two goals in a 7--2 loss to Elk Rapids to break the state scoring record. He set the mark with his 174th goal on a penalty kick in the first half and extended it with a 20-yard shot in the second. This season Aaron has 46 goals and nine assists in 16 games, including a six-goal performance in an 8--0 victory over Buckley. With 179 goals at week's end, he ranks fifth on the nation's alltime scoring list.

Brianna, a senior at Mount Abraham Union High, came from behind to defeat Heather Feavel of Van Dyne, Wis., 40--29 in the junior girls' championship at the World Horseshoe Tournament in Knoxville, Tenn. She went 5--0 in the final round, shooting ringers on 60.5% of her pitches, including 14 straight to close out her final game. A seven-time state champion and a five-time New England champion for junior girls, Brianna competes with the Sodbusters Horseshoe Club in Middlebury.

Jake, a senior at Bismarck High, won the Roy Griak Invitational (15:42.37), retaining his title by less than a second. A week earlier he took first at the Anderson/Stavn Invitational in a 5K season-best 15:20.41. In 2011 he led the Demons to the Class A team title, repeating as state champion and as North Dakota's Gatorade runner of the year. In track, Jake won his third straight 3,200- and second straight 1,600-meter state titles, and the New Balance national 5K crown in a personal best 14:27.16.
