Anders, a 6'1" senior guard at Lakeview Christian Academy, scored 42 points in a 100--87 win over Mesabi East High in the opening round of the Hibbing Holiday Tournament to become Minnesota's alltime leading scorer, surpassing the record of 4,086 points. As a sophomore Anders was the youngest player in state history to reach the 2,000-point milestone. He had 4,297 career points through Sunday and led the state with 42.1 points per game on the season. He will play at South Dakota State.

Sydney, a junior midfielder at Pahrump Valley High, broke a 13-year-old Nevada single-season scoring record with 78 goals, including two (and an assist) in a 3--0 state final victory over top-seeded Faith Lutheran, leading the No. 2--ranked Trojans to a second straight Division I-A title. The team's leading scorer, she ranks second in career goals for the state with 132. Sydney, who competes for Players Soccer Club of Las Vegas, is also a Western region Olympic Development Pool selection.

Caeleb, a junior at Clay High who competes for the Bolles School Sharks club team, won six golds and broke two national age-group records for 15-to-16-year-olds at the winter junior nationals in Knoxville, Tenn. He led off Bolles's 4x50 free in a meet record 19.82 to become the youngest swimmer to break the 20-second barrier, and set another mark in the 100 free (43.29), eclipsing two-time Olympic gold medalist Joe Hudepohl's 22-year-old record by .54 of a second.
