The only guy who's going to push Rory is Tiger. Rory isn't worried about Luke Donald or anyone else. I think Tiger has one last go in him to get back to No. 1, and I think he'd love to do it so he could stick it to all the naysayers in the media.
Rory will be pushed. It's hard to play at the top and manage those expectations. He'll be expected to win every time he plays, but there are so many good players who can win on any given week, like Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen and Dustin Johnson. It'll be hard for Rory to separate himself as much as Tiger did when he was No. 1.
Rory's personality is so different from Tiger's. He could easily win a Masters and then miss the cut at the U.S. Open. Rory is more like Phil that way. And he's O.K. with that. It's extremely refreshing to hear him talk. He doesn't have a set number of majors he's chasing. He's simply trying to be the best golfer he can be.
So does Rory win a major this year?
Absolutely. At least one.
