Marshawn Lynch isn't expected at the Seahawks' mandatory minicamp next week because he is believed to be unhappy with his contract, which pays him a base salary of $5 million this coming season and $5.5 million in 2015, according to a report Wednesday night from Rand Getlin of Yahoo! Sports.
It's not clear whether the contract is the only reason the 28-year-old is unhappy, according to Getlin. Lynch, widely regarded as one of the premiere running backs in the NFL, has missed offseason sessions in the past, but his expected absence next week would mark the first time since he came into the league as the Bills' 12th overall pick in 2007 that he would miss a mandatory minicamp.

If he skips all three days of the camp next week, he would be fined $69,455, according to the new CBA referenced in the report
Lynch finished Seattle's Super Bowl season this year with 1,257 yards -- his third consecutive 1,000-yard season and second highest season total. He also had a career-high 14 total touchdowns.
