San Diego Padres executives say that if the season doesn't turn around soon, the team could be in for some major changes.
While no names were mentioned, Padres executive chairman Ron Fowler said he was disappointed in how the team has performed, especially with a payroll of $90.1 million.
"At this time, we will not be discussing our situation with any parties outside of our senior management circle,"
Fowler said in an email to Fox Sports
.
"That said, we are terribly disappointed in the team's offense this year and staying the course (waiting for a turnaround) is becoming less appealing as the ugly losses continue."

Team president Mike Dee also let his feelings be known this week when he spoke to the Mighty 1090 radio station in San Diego.
"Just extremely disappointing. This is unexpected, to be 10 games under 500, 68 (66) games in and to be now at the bottom of the division is unacceptable and I'm profoundly disappointed about how things are going," Dee said. "Gotta get it right. We're gonna get it right. But it is not where we thought we would be for sure."
