This weekend, the Netherlands' Robin Van Persie scored the World Cup's most impressive goal so far with a deep header against reigning champions Spain, and an industrious fan has turned the moment into an amazing flipbook animation.

Considering this goal just happened on Saturday, the artist must have gotten to work immediately to come up with enough drawings to create what has to be the longest gif in the history of the internet.
Van Persie called the wündergoal the finest of his career, but it is not the first strike to earn flipbook immortalization, as Zlatan Imbrahimovic also received the honor for his impressive back heel goal for Paris St. Germain last year:
