Giants re-sign LB Mark Herzlich
Cancer survivor and Super Bowl champion linebacker Mark Herzlich re-signs with the New York Giants.
Linebacker Mark Herzlich has resigned with the New York Giants, the team announced.
Herzlich, who signed as an undrafted free-agent in 2011 out of Boston College, will be entering his fifth year with the team.
While at Boston College, Herzlich had to miss the 2009 season after being diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer one year after being named All-America at his position.
Herzlich won a Super Bowl title with the Giants in 2011-12.
Herzlich had 52 tackles and one sack in 15 games for New York last season.
The team also announced it had re-signed fullback Henry Hynoski.
