The Los Angeles Dodgers own a National League West-leading 11–6 record right now—and some cool new footwear, to boot.

Vanessa Bryant gifted members of the Dodgers custom blue sneakers from Kobe Bryant’s signature Nike line on Saturday, the eighth anniversary of the late Los Angeles Lakers legend’s last NBA game.

On April 13, 2016, Bryant recorded 60 points against the Utah Jazz in what was the final game of his career. He died in a helicopter crash at age 41 on Jan 26, 2020.

The Dodgers’ social team posted a video showing Mookie Betts and other members of the team reacting to their exclusive new kicks in honor of Bryant’s historic game:

“The Kobe’s. Thank you, Vanessa,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said in the video. “These are ridiculous. I’m going to rock these with Mamba pride.”
