Former NFL General Manager High on Jaylen Wright
Tennessee Volunteers running back Jaylen Wright drew praise from a former NFL general manager.
Tennessee running back Jaylen Wright continues to generate hype ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. He had a huge performance at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he had the No. 2 testing score of any running back attending, which has shot him up draft boards. Wright tallied 1,013 rushing yards and four touchdowns during his final season on Rocky Top.
He's earned much attention from people around the league, including former executives. The 33rd Team's Rick Spielman was a former NFL general manager for the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings. He was impressed with Wright during the predraft process and spoke strongly about his talents.
"This is one of the most underrated running backs I've seen come out in a long time." - Former NFL general manager Rick Spielman on Jaylen Wright
Pro Football Focus ranked Wright as the No. 2 running back in the class and the No. 71 overall prospect. Wright was likely a day-three prospect after the season, but during the predraft process he's boosted his draft stock. He could climb as high as the second-round depending on how his private workouts go.
