Janine Nicole Brown is a contributor to the Breaking and Trending News team at Sports Illustrated, covering golf. Before joining SI in Octoer 2024, she worked for the Pac-12 Network covering women’s college basketball and contributed to college football and men’s college basketball coverage across various Pac-12 Network channels. A member of the National Association of Black Journalists, she has a bachelor's communications from Cal State Monterey Bay and a master’s in sports broadcast journalism from Boston University. Outside of work, she closely follows all major sports from a national perspective and her interests include the intersection of sports and fashion.
