The Bucks are a double-digit favorite over the Bulls on Thursday night, but is it worth it to lay the points with Milwaukee?

Tonight is a six-game slate in the NBA. There is an odd 6 p.m. EST start time between the Heat and Cavaliers, so if you want to place a wager on that game, be aware of the tip time. Kristaps Porzingis makes his return to the Garden as a member of the Mavericks, The Pelicans and Clippers match up in a game in New Orleans. Kawhi Leonard will not suit up for the Clippers, but Paul George should make his season debut this evening. Kyrie Irving will give it a go tonight in Denver after being called questionable for most of the day. Trae Young and Devin Booker will duel in Phoenix, with the underdog going 6-1-1 against the spread in the last eight games of the Hawks and Suns series. Milwaukee will look to go 6-1 in their last seven games when it hosts the Bulls at home tonight.

Let's get to the best bets on the evening.

Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks: Bucks -11.5

So much of wagering on the NBA is determined by trends that we pick up on. Last season, the Bucks were excellent at covering double-digit spreads. So far this season, the Bucks are 2-1 straight up and against the spread at the Fiserv Center. It’s hard to believe the Bucks will play in only their fourth home game of the season tonight. The Bulls already have four road losses on the season. Chicago averages 108 points per game on the road, while the Bucks average 123 points per game at home. There is a very good chance the Bulls get blown out tonight. The Bucks already have four double-digit victories this season, they should easily cover the 11.5 tonight.

Dallas Mavericks at New York Knicks: Mavericks -7.5

I would not be surprised if David Fizdale is no longer the head coach of the Knicks in 24 hours. Fizdale is not the problem, and he will move on to a stable organization and be just fine. It's the Knicks that won't be. The Knicks went into Dallas last week and pulled off a shocking upset over the Mavericks. I remember seeing the final score and thinking to myself that the Mavericks are going to destroy the Knicks when they come to MSG. Well, today is the day. Former Knickerbocker Kristaps Porzingis will play his first game in the Garden since being traded to Dallas last season. The Mavericks, who are 4-1 on the road straight up and against the spread, are in a great revenge spot tonight. Dallas has shown twice in the opening weeks of the season that they can lay points on the road vs. a bad team.

Los Angeles Clippers vs New Orleans Pelicans: Under 234 Points

The Pelicans, who are pretty bad on defense, always play in these games with the total in the 230s or higher. Pelicans games have gone under the total in their last three contests. The Clippers are on the back end of a road back-to-back, and are also 0-3 O/U over the course of their last three games. Los Angeles will be without Kawhi Leonard and Pat Beverley tonight. Paul George will likely make his season debut, but it won't be enough to push this game over the number.

Season Record: 15-19
