NBA Best Bets: Should We Be Bullish on Chicago Against the Bucks?

The Bucks are heavy road chalk over the Bulls on Monday night, but is it worth it to lay the points with Milwaukee?

We have nine games to start the NBA wagering slate this week. Paul George welcomes his former team to the Staples Center when the Thunder travel to play the Clippers. The Boston Celtics saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end last night in Sacramento, today they opened as underdogs at the Suns. The Pacers try to snap a two-game losing streak as they catch points in Brooklyn. The Utah Jazz are the biggest favorites on the slate, laying 10 at home vs. the Timberwolves, Also, old rivals Damian Lilliard and Russell Westbrook battle tonight in Houston. I have 2 best bets and a few player prop leans to boot.

Milwaukee Bucks at Chicago Bulls: Bucks -8.5

These two teams just met up last week in Milwaukee—the Bucks were laying 12 points that night and won by nine, so the Bulls got the cover on the road. Tonight in Chicago, the Bulls welcome in a streaking Bucks team that's on a three-game winning streak. The Bucks are 9-3 on the season, but they are only 6-6 against the spread. As a matter of fact, they only have one win against the spread in their last five outings. The Bulls are 2-4 at home with those victories coming vs. the Pistons and Knicks. The Bucks are 6-2 on the road this season and they are playing well right now. I like the Bucks to lay the number, as the Bulls give up 111 points on average at home, The Bucks should make easy work of them.

Boston Celtics at Phoenix Suns: Under 226.5 Points

No one would have ever thought when the season started that Celtics vs. Suns in mid-November would be the game of the night. Boston has one loss in its last 10 games. The Suns have been the surprise team of the early season. They are 7-4 straight up and a very impressive 9-2 against the spread, The Suns opened up as a 3.5-point favorite, I'm sure the public will hop on Boston and this line will move to the Celtics being the favorite. I'm not betting a side on this game, but if I was, I would wait for the number to move in the Suns’ direction, then bet on Phoenix. I do have a play on this total that opened up at 227. That opening number has since been bet down to 226.5, as signals are showing a lot of early sharp money coming in on the under. Phoenix has gone over the number in each of its last four games, but Boston is an under team playing on the second night of a back-to-back. I hopped on the under as soon as possible before it’s bet down even more.

Season Record: 15-25
