Picks and Predictions for Spence Jr. vs. Crawford's Title Bout
The fight that the boxing world has been anticipating for five years, will finally go down in Las Vegas on Saturday night when Terence Crawford (39-0, 30 KO), the current WBO welterweight champion steps into the ring to face Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22 KO) who holds the WBC, IBF and WBA titles.
The odds makers at SI Sportsbook have installed Crawford (-145) as the slight favorite, most likely factoring in that he has been the more active fighter, while Spence has only fought twice since 2019. Spence did look phenomenal in his fight against Yordenis Ugas securing a 10th round stoppage which also explains why he is not a more significant underdog.
Spence vs. Crawford Best Bet: Spence to win via decision (+230)
As far as megafights in Las Vegas goes, this is as big as it gets and I anticipate bettors will see plus money odds on Spence and pounce, which will get the line to move closer to the middle as ringwalks approach. When I go to the window on Saturday afternoon I will be paying close attention and continue to lock in Spence while he is the underdog. If I am going to go with my gut and pick Spence to win this fight, I will look at the better odds of him winning via decision (+230), as I do not see either fighters being knocked out.
