NBA Championship Odds and Picks: Milwaukee Bucks
Boasting the best record in the NBA before the league hit the pause button on their season because of the coronavirus pandemic, the Bucks look to lock in the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. Led by All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee is listed as the heavy favorites to win the Eastern Conference by the sports book. Currently listed at -180, there’s no real value in betting on the Bucks to win the East. To put in comparison, the Lakers are the favorites to win the Western Conference and have odds of +165. There is value on betting on the Bucks to win the NBA Finals as they are the co-favorites with the Lakers with odds of +250.

Kaitlin O'Toole: The NBA futures betting market is back and we are breaking down the Milwaukee Bucks. Joining me now is SI's fantasy and gambling analyst Corey Parson. Corey, back in March, a lot of people picked the Milwaukee Bucks to win the championship. Obviously, it's been a couple of months. How much has changed since then?
Corey Parson: Well, when the season came to a pause, Milwaukee Bucks actually were on a four-game losing streak. But if you look outside that four-game losing streak, they have clearly been the best team in the NBA. Their +/- was at +11. Giannis Antetokounmpo was playing at an MVP form yet again. Guys like Khris Middleton, Drew Bledsoe were playing well, they had that big 18 game winning streak. Now, here's the problem with this situation. Now they get a chance to rest. And when they get down to Orlando to that bubble, everybody can be healthy. You can see something very special from the Bucks.
Kaitlin O'Toole: All right. So then I got to ask you, Corey, how far do you think they're going to go?
Corey Parson: Right now, the Bucks are betting favorite to win the NBA championship at +260, and I actually would take that. I think the bucks to win the championship this year. Now, on the other side, at the Western Conference, the Clippers and the Lakers, they want to play in a seven-game clash. And I think the winner of that series is going to be too spent for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Bucks will go ahead and win the NBA championship. You can get a jump on that right now at FanDuel at +260.
