The Dos Santos buzz continued to build when he needed just 54 seconds to knock out Stefan Struve at UFC 95 on Feb. 21, 2009.

Dos Santos emerged as a bona fide contender to the UFC heavyweight title when he outpointed Roy Nelson unanimously at UFC 117 on Aug. 7, 2010. It marked the first time an opponent pushed Dos Santos the distance, though he clearly dominated the action.

TUF 13 finale

When Dos Santos' title shot against Cain Velazquez was scuttled due to a Velazquez injury, the Brazilian stopped in as one of the coaches on TUF 13 and defeated Shane Carwin in the finale via unanimous decision.

UFC on Fox 1

Dos Santos needed just 64 seconds to knock out Cain Velazquez for the UFC heavyweight championship in the first-ever UFC card to be telecast on Fox. It marked Dos Santos' third career Knockout of the Night bonus.
