Floyd Mayweather sued by former fiancee
Floyd Mayweather's former fiancee has filed a lawsuit against him alleging assault, battery and defamation, among other charges.
Shantel Jackson claims in the lawsuit, which was filed Thursday, Sept. 4, in Los Angeles County Superior Court, that the undefeated welterweight champion beat her, posted a photo of a sonogram showing the twins Mayweather fathered and blamed their breakup on Jackson getting an abortion. Mayweather also allegedly became angry when Jackson posted a photo of herself with the rapper Nelly in April.
Mayweather served two months in jail in 2012 after pleading guilty to a reduced domestic battery violence charge involving his former girlfriend, Josie Harris. Mayweather is scheduled to face Marcos Maidana in a rematch on Sept. 13 in Las Vegas.
