Is the long-awaited Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquaio fight finally going to happen? Showtime's Jim Gray asked Mayweather after defeating Marcos Maidana Saturday
Is the long-awaited Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquaio fight finally going to happen? Showtime's Jim Gray asked Mayweather after defeating Marcos Maidana Saturday in Las Vegas.
"I got to go back and talk to my team, I'm not ducking or dodging no opponent," Mayweather told Gray. "If a Pacquiao fight presents itself, let's make it happen."
A Mayweather-Pacquaio fight was first discussed more than six years ago, and came close to happening in 2010 before negotiations ended due to a disagreement between both camps over random drug testing.
Mayweather's record currently stands at 47-0-0 with 26 knockouts. Pacquaio is 56-5-2 with 38 knockouts.
