Immediately after Jake Paul defeated Ryan Bourland in the first round Saturday night in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the YouTuber-turned-boxer switched his focus.

Now he wants a piece of four-time world champion Canelo Álvarez.

Paul, who now boasts a 9–1 professional boxing record, has his sights on becoming a world champion, so it’s only fitting for him to have his eyes on Álvarez.

Paul had a strong message to Álvarez after recording a first-round technical knockout of Bourland.

“Canelo, stop ducking,” Paul told DAZN. “I know you want it. I’m repping Puerto Rico. You’re repping Mexico. So it’s Puerto Rico vs. Mexico. I want Canelo. I want all the biggest names. Like I said, I’m the face of this sport. Truly, who’s doing more for boxing than me? I keep on proving myself time and time again.”

Álvarez, the undisputed super middleweight world champion, hasn’t responded to Paul’s demand yet. He’s set to face Jaime Munguia on May 4.
