After signing five Americans at once last week, the Montreal Alouettes have done the same thing on Monday bringing on five more from south of the border. 

Montreal added four on offense and one on defense:

  • WR Jose Barbon
  • DL Antonio Moultrie
  • LB C.J. Avery
  • DB Myles Brooks
  • DB Timarcus Davis

Barbon signed a free-agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was with the Calgary Stampeders in 2023. The former Temple Owl had 138 receptions for 1,608 yards and four touchdowns in his college career.

Moultrie signed a free-agent deal with the Green Bay Packers after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was waived during training camp. He spent time at Alabama-Birmingham before transferring to Miami (Fla.) for his senior season. Moultrie had 14 tackles and one forced fumble in his lone season with the Hurricanes.

Avery spent time with the Chicago Bears in 2022. He had 249 tackles, 8.5 sacks, three interceptions, and 19 pass deflections in 59 games at Louisville.

Brooks signed a free-agent deal with the Dallas Cowboys after going undrafted out of Louisiana Tech. He was waived at the end of training camp. 

At Louisiana Tech, Brooks was named second-team All-Conference USA in 2022. He had 29 tackles, three tackles for loss, 12 pass deflections, three interceptions, and a forced fumble in 12 games.

Davis signed with the Los Angeles Rams after going unselected in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was cut after training camp. He had 85 tackles, 10 pass deflections, three interceptions, and one fumble recovery at Arizona State.
