The 2024 free agent class is packed with great wide receivers, with six occupying spots on CFL.ca’s list of the top 30 pending free agents in the CFL after putting up 1,000-yard seasons last year.

The importance of surrounding quarterbacks with talented skill players is more evident than ever, and every team in the league will have the opportunity to pick up a top-caliber receiver this offseason.

Here is the list of the top six receivers available to be signed when 2024 free agency kicks off in February.

Breaking Down Best Available WRs (Last Team)

6. Justin Hardy (Ottawa Redblacks)

At 31, Justin Hardy is proving he can still play at a high level, finishing the 2023 season with 85 passes for 1,009 yards and three touchdowns in 18 games played for the Ottawa Redblacks. After two seasons in the CFL, he appears to be primed for more and shows no signs of slowing down.

5. Shawn Bane Jr. (Saskatchewan Roughriders)

Shawn Bane Jr. struggled to crack the depth chart in two years with the Calgary Stampeders, but he flipped the script when he signed with Saskatchewan in 2023. Bane finished the season with 93 catches for 1,104 yards and four touchdowns for the Roughriders — easily proving that, when given the opportunity, he is capable of being one of the top receivers in the league in 2024 and beyond.

4. Alexander Hollins (BC Lions)

After short stints with the Minnesota Vikings and Cleveland Browns and a quiet first year with the BC Lions, Alexander Hollins had a breakout second season in the CFL. He finished 2023 with 78 receptions for 1,173 yards and nine touchdowns, which was second-best in the league. BC may choose to bring back Hollins in 2024, but if not, he'll likely be able to collect a big check elsewhere with a team ready to make him their number-one target.

3. Keon Hatcher (BC Lions)

Since joining the CFL in 2021, Keon Hatcher has improved each year. He put up career-high numbers for the BC Lions in 2023, recording 78 catches for 1,226 yards and six touchdowns. The 29-year-old Hatcher still has plenty left in the tank, but with two of their top passing targets as free agents, will the Lions be able to retain both him and Hollins?

2. Dalton Schoen (Winnipeg Blue Bombers)

It might not seem like it, but 2023 was actually a down year for Dalton Schoen. The 27-year-old finished the season with 1,222 yards and a league-high 10 touchdowns in 16 games played, despite missing time with an ankle injury. Schoen has put up video-game numbers in each of his two seasons with Winnipeg, so the Blue Bombers likely won't let him walk. If they do, there will be other teams ready to throw money his way.

1. Tim White (Hamilton Tiger-Cats)

Last year's leader in receiving yards is available for any team to bring in. Tim White recorded his second-straight 1,000-yard season for Hamilton, finishing 2023 with a career-high 1,269 yards and eight touchdowns in 17 games played. It would be a big surprise if the Tiger-Cats don't go all out to bring back the league's top receiver.
