Preview: 2023 Panini Obsidian Football First Look and Chase Cards
Considered by many to be one of Panini’s most uniquely designed products, 2023 Obsidian Football returns with its usual lineup of parallels and die-cuts.
Expected to release on March 27, Obsidian’s futuristic and geometric designs are again applied to the popular Electric Etch lineup of parallels — Purple, Orange, Green, Yellow, Contra, Red, Tri-Color Mojo and Blue Finite are among them.
Autographs and memorabilia can be found in sets like Rookie Jersey Autographs, Rookie Jersey Ink and Rookie Eruption Materials. These hits also get the Electric Etch parallel treatment.
Obsidian’s offering of inserts is led by the ultra-popular SSP Black Color Blast. Die-cuts like Vitreous and Volcanix are also considered super short-prints.
