Watch: Iniesta gives Barcelona 3–0 lead over Real Madrid in El Clasico
Barcelona poured it on Real Madrid in the latest edition of El Clasico, and Andres Iniesta got a deserved — and spectacular — goal, after playing an influential role in the match.
After goals from Luis Suarez and Neymar, Iniesta gave Barcelona a 3–0 lead with a strike of his own, working a beautiful combination with Neymar. He found the Brazilian at the edge of the box, and Neymar laid it off for Iniesta with a slick back-heel pass. Iniesta ran onto the ball and and fired a rocket into the back of the net in the 53rd minute.
Iniesta’s performance brought an ovation from the Bernabeu crowd when he was substituted out of the match, a la Ronaldinho during a 3-0 Barcelona win in Madrid in 2005.
Barcelona went on to win 4-0, opening a six-point lead over its rival in La Liga. Watch Iniesta's goal below:
