Report: Jimbo Fisher tells FSU he has no intention of leaving
Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher told university president John Thrasher he has no intentions of leaving for another job, reports Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post.
Fisher’s name has been linked to a potential opening at LSU, where coach Les Miles is expected to be let go after the regular season. Fisher worked at LSU from 2000–06, before joining the Seminoles as their offensive coordinator in 2007.
Fisher took over as Florida State’s head coach in 2010, succeeding Bobby Bowden. He has a 67–13 record entering Saturday, including a 4–1 record in bowl games and a national championship win after the 2013 season.
Miles has been the subject of job rumors for weeks, though he denied Friday he told boosters he would be coaching his last game Saturday. Miles entered Week 13 with a 110–32 record as the Tigers’ head coach.
