The 2006 Big East Rookie of the Year led South Florida to a surprising 9-4 record last season. The dual-threat QB led the Big East in total yards (3,198).
Malik Jackson, LB, Sr.
Jackson flies to the ball and has a knack for making big plays. Last season, he finished second in the Big East in sacks (9) and tackles for loss (16).
Eric Wicks, SS, Sr.
Wicks was a prolific blitzer in 2006, recording six sacks, but he's being asked to play more of a coverage role this season as West Virginia goes to a two-deep look.
Harry Douglas, WR, Sr.
It's hard to tell who is more talented between Douglas and teammate Mario Urrutia, but Douglas had more impressive numbers last season (70 catches, 1,265 yards and 10 touchdowns).
Eric Wood, C, Jr.
In his third season as a starter, Wood is one of the premier centers in all of college football. He anchors the Big East's best offensive line.
Eric Foster, DT, Sr.
Foster is the heart and soul of the Rutgers D. Foster is a bit undersized at 260 pounds, but he makes up for it with superior athleticism. His six sacks in '06 were an impressive sum for a defensive tackle.
Ray Rice, RB, Jr.
Rice is the centerpiece of the recent Rutgers resurgence. He led the Big East in rushing yards (1,794) and rushing touchdowns (20) last season.
Steve Slaton, RB, Jr.
Quite possibly the fastest player in the Big East, Slaton's one of the most exciting players to watch in all of football, college or pro. He has already rushed for 2,872 yards and 33 touchdowns in his first two seasons.
Pat White, QB, Jr.
White is the premier dual-threat QB in the college game. He ran for 1,219 yards and 18 touchdowns and passed for an additional 1,655 yards and 13 scores.
Brian Brohm, QB, Sr.
