Ten I-A transfers seizing the spotlight

Ryan Mundy, S

Mundy started 18 games during his time at Michigan and went to three Rose Bowls. Now he brings that experience to the West Virginia secondary. Mundy had eight tackles and a key fumble recovery in the Mountaineers' win over Marshall.

Ben Mauk, QB

Mauk was Wake Forest's starting quarterback at the beginning of last season, but he suffered a broken throwing arm and torn labrum in the season opener. In less than one year, he transferred to Cincy, battled back from injury and won the Bearcats' starting job.

Max Hall, QB

Hall redshirted at Arizona State in 2004 and went on a Mormon mission in 2005 before transferring to BYU in '06. In his first two starts as a Cougar, Hall has thrown for 679 yards and four touchdowns.

Sam Keller, QB

After losing a controversial quarterback race at Arizona State, Keller headed to Lincoln for one year in Bill Callahan's West Coast Offense. Keller has excelled at times in his first season behind center for Big Red, but he faces a huge test this weekend in USC.

Ben Olson, QB

Coming out of high school as one of the nation's top recruits, Olson signed with BYU and redshirted his freshman year. After a two-year Mormon mission, Olson transferred to UCLA. In two games this season -- including a win over BYU -- Olson has thrown for 412 yards and five touchdowns.

Tyrone McKenzie, LB

McKenzie, right, played one season at Michigan State and then headed to Iowa State. Last year as a Cyclone, he compiled 129 tackles, including 9 1/2 tackles for loss and two sacks. McKenzie was granted special transfer waiver and became immediately eligible for South Florida this season. McKenzie immediately made his presence felt by leading the Bulls in tackles (12) during the season opener.

BenJarvus Green-Ellis, RB

Green-Ellis racked up 1,732 yards and 12 touchdowns in his first two years at Indiana. After transferring to Mississippi, Green-Ellis earned All-SEC honors last year with 1,000 yards rushing. Last Saturday, he rushed for 226 yards and a touchdown against Missouri.

Tashard Choice, RB

Choice was a backup to Heisman Trophy finalist Adrian Peterson during his one year at Oklahoma. Last season, Choice quietly led the ACC in rushing with 1,473 yards.

Adarius Bowman, WR

After two mediocre seasons at North Carolina, Bowman was kicked off of the team for possession of marijuana. Last year -- his first at Oklahoma State -- Bowman was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year after catching 60 balls for 1,181 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Colt Brennan, QB

Brennan was kicked off Colorado after pleading guilty to charges of burglary and trespassing stemming from a dorm-room incident. After a quick stopover at Saddleback Community College, Brennan landed at Hawaii and instantly began his assault on the Warriors' record book.
