College Bowl Review

GMAC Bowl

Andrew Aguila hit a 37-yard field goal, his GMAC-record fifth of the game, as the Chippewas won in double overtime. The win ended a 15-game losing streak for MAC teams in bowls.

Orange Bowl

Iowa held Josh Nesbitt (left) and the Yellow Jackets' second-ranked rushing offense to 164 yards below its season average to give the Big Ten its second BCS win.

Fiesta Bowl

Boise State reached into its bag of tricks again and stunned Texas Christian in a Fiesta Bowl duel of unbeaten BCS busters. After the Broncos pulled off a gutsy fake punt at their own 33-yard line, Doug Martin (left) scored the decisive touchdown to give No. 6 Boise State the win.

Alamo Bowl

Ruffin McNeill (center) and Texas Tech closed out a difficult week with a game Mike Leach would've loved. The interim coach showed guts while pulling his starting QB and succeeding on two late fourth downs to help the Red Raiders beat the Spartans.

Liberty Bowl

Alex Tejada (left) kicked the 37-yard OT winner, turned around and ran toward the opposite end of the field. His Arkansas teammates chased him all the way to the end zone amid a wild scene of celebration and relief.

Cotton Bowl

Dexter McCluster (left) gave Mississippi fans a finale to remember, rushing for 182 yards and two touchdowns, including the go-ahead 2-yard run on a direct snap with 4:03 left. Ole Miss had five turnovers in the game, but Oklahoma State had six in the fourth quarter, and seven overall.

Papajohns.com Bowl

Andre Dixon (2) rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown and resilient Connecticut ended a trying season with a victory over South Carolina.

International Bowl

Mike Ford ran for a career-high 207 yards and scored one touchdown, B.J. Daniels threw two scoring passes to A.J. Love, and South Florida rolled past Northern Illinois.

Sugar Bowl

Florida's Tim Tebow went out in style, completing 31 of 35 passes for 482 yards and three touchdowns as No. 5 Florida grabbed a 30-3 halftime lead and coasted past No. 4 Cincinnati. Tebow also rushed for 51 yards and a fourth touchdown.

Rose Bowl

Terrelle Pryor (right) threw for 266 yards and two touchdowns and added 72 yards on the ground to lead No. 8 Ohio State. Jeremiah Masoli's 1-yard run gave No. 7 Oregon a 17-16 lead before the Buckeyes took the lead for good on Devin Barclay's 38-yard field goal late in the third quarter.

Gator Bowl

Bobby Bowden rode off the field a winner in his final game as the Seminoles took care of No. 18 West Virginia. Bowden finished with a 389-129-4 record, and most importantly to him, a 33rd consecutive winning season. Next week, Jimbo Fisher takes over at Florida State, which finished 7-6 for the third time in the last four years.

Capital One Bowl

Andrew Quarless (left) caught eight passes for 88 yards as No. 11 Penn State emerged from the muck for a thrilling win. Penn State coach Joe Paterno got his record 24th bowl win and handed Les Miles his first loss in five bowls as LSU coach.

Outback Bowl

Ben Tate (right) rushed for 108 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns to lead Auburn (8-5). The Tigers finished their first season under Gene Chizik with the second-most wins by a first-year coach in school history. Mike Kafka completed 47 of 78 passes for four TDs for Northwestern, which failed on a version of the old fumblerooskie in overtime.

Chick-fil-A Bowl

Ryan Williams, a redshirt freshman, had 117 yards rushing and two touchdowns to become Virginia Tech's single-season rushing leader with 1,655 yards. John Graves (left) and the Hokies' defense did the rest in the victory.

Insight Bowl

Alexander Robinson (left) ran for 137 yards, and Austen Arnaud threw for one touchdown and ran for another as Iowa State defeated Minnesota to cap its first winning season since 2005.

Texas Bowl

Ricky Dobbs (left) ran for 166 yards and three touchdowns and Navy manhandled Missouri with its triple-option offense. Dobbs also threw a touchdown pass to Bobby Doyle.

Sun Bowl

Ryan Broyles (left) set a Sun Bowl record with three touchdown receptions and Landry Jones passed for 418 yards to lead Oklahoma past Heisman runner-up Toby Gerhart and No. 19 Stanford.

Armed Forces Bowl

Asher Clark (left) and Jared Tew each ran for more than 100 yards with two touchdowns and Air Force's top-ranked pass defense had six interceptions against Case Keenum.

Holiday Bowl

After developing a reputation for high-scoring games and crazy finishes, the Holiday Bowl finally got the first shutout in its 32-year history. Defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh (left), the AP College Football Player of the Year and a Heisman finalist, had only three tackles, including one for a loss, but Nebraska's defense still carried the day.

Humanitarian Bowl

Max Komar made a sliding 16-yard touchdown catch with 4 seconds left and Nathan Enderle passed to Preston Davis (left) for the 2-point conversion, lifting Idaho to a dramatic victory over Bowling Green.

Champs Sports Bowl

John Clay had 121 yards rushing and two touchdowns to power the Badgers past Miami. Wisconsin's defense recorded five sacks in the win.

EagleBank Bowl

Kevin Prince (left) completed 16 of 31 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns as the Bruins ruined Temple's first bowl game in 30 years.

Independence Bowl

Georgia blocked two kicks and Joe Cox threw his first touchdown pass after a snap sailed over the Texas A&M punter's head in the third quarter as the Bulldogs rolled. Reshad Jones ' 59-yard interception return (left) set up a Bulldogs' touchdown.

Music City Bowl

C.J. Spiller scored a touchdown and had 172 all-purpose yards in his final college game. The Tigers hadn't won a bowl game since the 2005 Champs Sports Bowl.

Emerald Bowl

Matt Barkley threw touchdown passes to Stanley Havili on Southern California's first two possessions and added a touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Damian Williams caught 12 passes for 189 yards in what could be his final game for the Trojans.

Meineke Bowl

Dion Lewis fumbled here at the goal line, but he still rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown to pass Tony Dorsett as Pittsburgh's top freshman rusher. Dan Hutchins kicked a 33-yard field goal with 52 seconds left to give the 17th-ranked Panthers the win. Pitt won 10 games for the first time since Dan Marino was the quarterback in 1981

Little Caesars Bowl

Martin Ward (left) ran for two touchdowns in the first half and Marshall held off a late Ohio rally. The Herd led by three touchdowns midway through the second quarter.

Hawaii Bowl

Freshman Kyle Padron threw for an SMU-record 460 yards, leading the Mustangs to a win in their first postseason appearance in 25 years.

Poinsettia Bowl

True freshman Jordan Wynn (left) threw for a career-high 338 yards and three touchdowns to rally No. 23 Utah from an early two-touchdown deficit. The Utes scored 27 straight points to win their ninth straight bowl game.

Las Vegas Bowl

Max Hall (left) threw three touchdown passes and gave the Cougars their third win in five straight bowl appearances in Sin City. It also ended the Beavers' run of five consecutive bowl wins.

New Orleans Bowl

Dwight Dasher (9) ran for 201 yards -- the most by a quarterback in a bowl game -- and two touchdowns and threw two scoring passes to lead Middle Tennessee.

St. Petersberg Bowl

True freshman Tom Savage (left) threw for a career-best 294 yards and Mohamed Sanu ran for two TDs and added a receiving score as Rutgers claimed a school-record fourth consecutive bowl win to finish with at least nine victories for just the sixth time in 140 years.

New Mexico Bowl

Wyoming trailed by 11 points in the fourth quarter, but freshman Austyn Carta-Samuels (left) threw three touchdown passes, the last a 13-yarder to David Leonard in the second overtime, and Wyoming rallied past Fresno State
