Louis Dale scored 26 points as No. 12 seed Cornell upset the fourth-seeded Badgers 87-69, becoming the first Ivy League school in more than 30 years to advance to the round of 16.

Chris Kramer flipped in a layup over Texas A&M big man Bryan Davis, who is 6 inches taller, with 4.2 seconds remaining in overtime to lift Purdue into the Sweet 16. The Boilermakers rallied from 11 points down in the second half and will face top-seeded Duke in Houston on Friday.

Wes Johnson (4), the Big East player of the year, scored a career-high 31 points and pulled down 14 rebounds as top-seeded Syracuse hit a dozen 3-pointers to stun the Zags.

Da'Sean Butler scored scored 19 of his 28 points in the first half, for nearly two-thirds of the Mountaineers' 30 points in the opeing 20 minutes, as West Virginia built an early lead. West Virginia (29-6) advanced to face No. 11 seed Washington in the East Regional semifinals on Thursday.

Exploiting a huge advantage in size and depth in the frontcourt, Brian Zoubek (13 rebounds) and the Blue Devils opened a double-digit lead in the first half and Cal never seriously threatened to get back into the game.
