Kellen Moore

Moore's steady leadership is a major reason why the Broncos are expected to stay in the national championship hunt. Last season he threw for 3,536 yards, 39 touchdowns (and three interceptions) and ranked second nationally in passing efficiency. In two seasons he's 26-1 as a starter and hasn't lost a regular-season game.

The statistical monster is back for another season in Kevin Sumlin's offense. He passed for 5,671 yards and 44 TDs last season, joining former Texas Tech's Graham Harrell as the only players in NCAA history with multiple 5,000-yard seasons. Expect similar results with three 1,000-yard receivers returning.

Andy Dalton

Lightly recruited out of Katy High in metro Houston, Dalton has racked up 29 career wins, putting him one away from passing the legendary Sammy Baugh as the Frogs' all-time winningest quarterback. He's coming off a career-best season in which he completed 61.6 percent of his passes for 2,756 yards and 23 touchdowns.

Matt Reynolds

Greg Nelson/SI

With a new quarterback and major questions at running back (no back on the roster had more than 55 carries last season), the Cougars' offense is in a state of transition. But coach Bronco Mendenhall can breathe a sigh of relief knowing he has Reynolds, a 6-foot-6, 329-pound left tackle, anchoring his line.

Ricky Dobbs

Rob Tringali Jr./SI

Despite missing two games last season and playing six games with a broken knee cap, the Navy senior ran for 27 touchdowns, an NCAA record for a quarterback. He also became the 37th player in major college football history to run for 1,000 yards and pass for 1,000 yards, a feat he achieved while leading Navy to a 10-win season.

Michael Floyd

Michael Floyd
Al Tielemans/SI

The junior averaged 113.5 receiving yards per game last season, which would have put him sixth in the nation if he hadn't missed five games with a broken collar bone. Floyd may be on the doorstep of stardom with the departure of Biletinkoff winner Golden Tate and the Irish now operating in Brian Kelly's receiver-friendly offense.

Dwight Dasher

Dasher introduced himself to college football nation during the New Orleans Bowl, when he rushed for 201 yards -- the most by a quarterback in a bowl game -- and two TDs and passed for 162 yards and two more scores. He finished his junior year with 1,175 rushing yards, and should put up monster stats again this season if he can stay on the field: A suspension could be pending after an admitted gambler claimed he loaned Dasher $1,500 for poker.

Colin Kaepernick

The senior has clearly mastered Chris Ault's pistol formation, racking up 3,325 yards of offense last year, including 2,052 passing yards and 36 total touchdowns. He stands 94 yards shy of joining Air Force's Beau Morgan as the second player in WAC history to record 3,000 career passing and rushing yards.

James Cleveland

A former All-Big Ten freshman team selection at Iowa in 2007, Cleveland made an immediate impact in his first season catching balls from Case Keenum. He ranked third nationally in receptions per game (11.6) and was eighth in receiving yards per game (101.1) while catching 104 balls for 1,214 yards and 14 TDs.

Nick Bellore

Quick: Which returning FBS player has the most career tackles? It's the Chippewas' 6-foot-1, 243-pound linebacker, who has 382 stops and is 109 from setting the school record. A two-time All-MAC first-teamer, Bellore has started all 41 games of his career.
