LAS VEGAS -- Colorado State gutted through a 67-61 win over seventh-seeded Fresno State in the Mountain West quarterfinals without injured point guard Dorian Green. It appears they will have to pull the same trick Friday if the Rams want to advance in the tournament.

After the win, head coach Larry Eustachy said that Green was almost certain not to play against UNLV.

"We'll be without Dorian," Eustachy said. "We're going to practice and prepare as if we don't have him, which I think is 99.9 percent chance he won't [play]."

Colorado State doesn't have very much experience playing without Green. Tonight's absence ended his 127-game starting streak with the Rams. Jon Octeus, usually one of the Rams' two subs off the bench in their seven-man rotation, got the start and played all 40 minutes. He chipped in with nine points and three assists without a turnover, but it was clear the Rams were not the same offensive team without Green's play- and shotmaking.
