The offseason saga of Rushel Shell took another interesting turn over the weekend. The tailback, who originally announced his intention to transfer to UCLA in April, reportedly decided that he would try to remain with the Panthers, a source told the Los Angeles Times. However, recent reports indicate that door might not be open for Shell after all.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Sam Werner tweeted on Monday that Shell won't be rejoining the Panthers.

Rumors of Shell's potential transfer from Pitt first surfaced in March, when the Panthers released a statement noting that Shell was "working through some challenges." His plans to join UCLA went public soon after, but, according to the Times, Shell has twin daughters in Pennsylvania and ultimately decided that the distance would be too great if he played for the Bruins.
