Duke's expected status as a primary ACC and national challenger took a scary turn in July, when Mississippi State transfer Rodney Hood suffered a right Achilles injury at the World University Games trials.
At the time, the injury didn't seem serious enough to cost Hood his season, but there was a thought he would at least be shelved for awhile, which would stunt his continued pre-season integration into Duke's lineup.
According to ESPN's Andy Katz, though, Hood is doing just fine.
"He is completely recovered," Duke associate coach Steve Wojciechowski told Katz. "He has participated in summer workouts."
