Six Florida players will miss Saturday's season-opening meeting with Toledo because of suspensions stemming from disciplinary issues, the Gainesville Sun reports.

Among the six players are starting cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy and backup wide receiver Latroy Pittman, both of whom are sidelined due to failed drug tests, sources told the Palm Beach Post. The other suspended players are all backups: Defensive tackles Darious Cummings and Jay-nard Bostwick and offensive lineman Quinteze Williams.

Starting middle linebacker Antonio Morrison is the sixth suspension, but his status had been previously announced in July after two offseason arrests.
