It might not solve anything, but one day after Texas gave up 550 rushing yards in a 40-21 loss to BYU, the 'Horns have ousted Manny Diaz as defensive coordinator. It was clear Diaz's days were numbered immediately after the defeat, and it didn't take long to go through with decision, according to Orangebloods.com's Chip Brown.

Diaz, who also coached at NC State, Middle Tennessee State and Mississippi State, was much-maligned during a 2012 campaign in which Texas' defense allowed more than 29 points per game. Head coach Mack Brown's job security has been in question all offseason, and this could only be the first in a number of moves if things don't get better for the program quickly.

Brown is also reporting that Greg Robinson, who last worked at Michigan in the 2009 season and was a Texas analyst, will take over the job.
