Robert Upshaw, a well-regarded big man who was booted from hometown Fresno State after two suspensions, will resume his career at Washington, ESPN.com reported on Tuesday.
"I had a nice visit with both Washington and Oregon," Upshaw told ESPN's Jeff Goodman. "I just felt like Washington was a better fit for me as a player.
"I liked it there, I felt comfortable and am looking forward to a new start."
Upshaw never came close to living up to expectations for the Bulldogs, winding up his freshman season averaging just 4.1 points and 3.8 rebounds a game in 22 contests.
