Illinois quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase's father has been banned from the university's campus for a year after being arrested during the Illini's home game against Michigan State on Saturday, the Indianapolis Star reports.

The paper reports that the incident stemmed from an argument between Scheelhaase's father and university police.

University police chief Jeff Christensen said Tuesday that Nathan Creer was arrested after an argument at Memorial Stadium during Saturday’s game. Christensen said Creer became “somewhat aggressive” with officers.

The report says that campus bans are standard protocol when "someone who isn’t a student or university employee is suspected of creating trouble at the school."
