Greg Robinson (73) has proven himself ready for the NFL in just two seasons on the field at Auburn.

The wound from the national championship is still fresh for Auburn, and now the Tigers will be without one of their best players in 2014, as offensive tackle Greg Robinson announced Tuesday on Twitter that he'll enter the NFL Draft.

Robinson was a stalwart on a talented Auburn offensive line that averaged over 328 rushing yards per game and recently received a first-round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory board. He played extremely well against Florida State's NFL-caliber defensive line Monday night and is clearly ready for the NFL despite being just a redshirt sophomore.

After the game, Robinson said the loss "made the decision harder" but that he'd ultimately do what was best for his family and himself, per AL.com. While he probably wanted to finish the job, win a title and declare after the game, it's hard to stick around when you've proven yourself against top competition all year and you're being floated in the top 15.
