SMU running back Traylon Shead will reportedly enter this summer's NFL Supplemental Draft, according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Shead had not been participating in SMU's spring practices and was not listed on the team's depth chart. Earlier this month, Shead was declared eligible for the draft and hired an agent.

Shead was a top recruit coming out of high school. Rivals ranked him as the 16th-best running back in his class. He committed to Texas and saw limited action before transferring to Navarro College, a junior college outside Dallas. Shead played one season there before signing with SMU.

Shead was slowed by injuries in his lone season with the Mustangs. In four games, he carried 51 times for 197 yards and three touchdowns.

The supplemental draft will be held on July 11. A team that selects Shead would have to forfeit a pick in next year's draft.
