Georgia dismisses defensive lineman Jonathan Taylor after arrest

Georgia announced Wednesday that defensive lineman Jonathan Taylor has been dismissed from the team after a Tuesday arrest on charges of felony assault and domestic battery.
Taylor was alleged to have "possibly strangled" a female acquaintance in his dorm room in a domestic violence incident.
This is Taylor's second arrest this offseason. He was one of four Georgia players arrested and charged with "theft by deception" in March for cashing stipend checks twice. Taylor was accepted into a pre-trial intervention program, but its terms are violated by any subequent arrest or citation.
Taylor, a redshirt sophomore, had nine tackles last season for the Bulldogs.
