Merv Lindsay to transfer from New Mexico

Forward Merv Lindsay will transfer from New Mexico, the school announced Wednesday.
Lindsay posted averages of 0.6 points and 1.1 rebounds in 6.1 minutes last season. The 6-foot-7 junior recorded a season-high three points in a February 19 win over UNLV.
Lindsay sat out the 2012-13 season after transferring from Kansas.
Lindsay has two years to use his final two seasons of eligibility. If he chooses to enroll at a Division I program, Lindsay will be forced to sit out the 2014-15 season in accordance with NCAA transfer rules.
The Lobos won 27 games, finished second in the Mountain West and earned a No. 7 seed in the NCAA tournament before losing to Stanford in the opening round.
