Charlie Strong takes Longhorns logo off Texas football helmets
New Texas football head coach Charlie Strong removed the Longhorns logo from the team's helmets for the start of training camp practice, reports Anwar Richardson of Rivals.com. Defensive end Cedric Reed said the players must earn the logo.
Strong has instituted a culture change at Texas since taking over for Mack Brown, who resigned after the 2013 season.
On Monday, he confirmed that seven players have been dismissed from the team and three more have been indefinitely suspended, saying he expects his players to have core values if they want to play for him.
